I have been thinking a lot around the issue of experience. It's a sore topic for a lot people and instantly strikes fear into the hearts of many. You look at a job advert and then when you see the amount of experience needed your heart drops to your feet. Sadness prevails.
How are you supposed to get experience if you don't have experience? What a catch-22! How much experience is enough? Well, how long is a piece of string?
Today I want to tell you that you shouldn't be disheartened by job adverts. When you look at the requirements for a job, see it as an opportunity for you to learn when you get that job. By virtue of your doubtful thoughts alone, you might be disqualifying yourself from many job opportunities. The right job will be yours if you apply your mind and get over the mental block of "work experience" There is someone out there who is ready to give you chance solely based on your energy, your work ethic and your personality.
